Pat McAfee is left speechless when one of his analysts makes an incredible prediction for Super Bowl 2025

Pat McAfee was left in stunned, speechless silence when one of his colleagues said he thinks the New York Jets will make the Super Bowl at the end of the 2024/25 NFL season, giving Aaron Rodgers fifth MVP award in the process.

It's not often that someone as outspoken and controversial as McAfee simply doesn't know what to say but that's what happened when his ist, Boston Connor made his call for Super Bowl LIX.

On the ESPN show, Connor also tipped the Detroit Lions to make the final game of the season although that is fairly reasonable considering they made it all the way to the NFC Conference Championship game in 2023, only to be beaten by the San Francisco 49ers.

"I'm going to go ahead and take the MVP of the league," Connor said, stunning the room. "New York Jets and Aaron Rodgers beating the Detroit Lions."

Bewildered, McAfee could only ask if he meant the Super Bowl in a seemingly shocked expression of confusion that could only be understood by misunderstanding the question. However, Connor doubled down and pointed to the offense options at Aaron Rodgers' disposal as a reason why his prediction could come true despite the Jets finishing .412 in 2023.

"Mike Williams, Garret Wilson, Breese Hall," Connor added. "They have reloaded their entire offensive line. Everyone thinks Rodgers is just some big, dumb hippie.

"In reality, he is the greatest ball thrower in the history of the NFL. I genuinely do think he will win the MVP and they will figure it out."

Who do the New York Jets play in Week 1?

Whilst Rodgers ed the Jets in 2023, the NFL season will effectively be his debut in green after he missed a year at the MetLife due to an Achilles injury in the Week 1 opener against the Buffalo Bills.

As a result, he will bid to get his career in New York underway when they travel to the Levi Stadium to face the Super Bowl runners up, the San Francisco 49ers, on September 9, 2024.

The game will take place at 20:20 ET/17:20 PT and will be aired by ESPN for those wanting to watch.
