Jalen Hurts could miss the Philadelphia Eagles' NFC Championship game against the Washington Commanders, after being sacked seven times on January 19 leaving him with knee problems.

The 26-year-old quarterback spurred his side onto a 28-22 victory against the Los Angeles Rams but there's a risk that may be all he can do this 2024/25 NFL season, after he limped back to the locker room at full-time.

He was then asked if he was hurt, but cryptically responded he finished the game as he refused to reveal whether he was carrying any problems that could put him at risk for the January 26 showdown with Jayden Daniels.

Two instances saw him take worrying hits. The first came when he hobbled around in the first half but the main worry comes from the third quarter, when the Rams' defensive back trapped his left leg.

He was taken to the medical tent to be checked over by physicians, before being given the green light to return to the match at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia to lead his team through the divisional round.

"Jalen Hurts hates nothing more than talking about his injuries," Ian Rapoport, an insider for NFL Network, told Good Morning Football. "So I am expecting an awkward, tense week but I do expect him to play."

Snowy conditions saw the game sliced down from usual numbers as Hurts only completed 15 attempts (75%) for 128 yards on the night, although he did add 70 rushing yards for the one touchdown.

Most of the action went to the Saquon Barkley, as the running back rushed for an exceptional 205 yards from 26 carries and two touchdowns to play an instrumental role in yet another Eagles win.

They will now face a determined Commanders side on January 26 at the Lincoln Financial Field. Kick-off is expected from 15:00 ET/12:00 PT.
