As the NFL season nears its conclusion, several franchises are taking a hard look at their coaching situations, with the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints already making moves.

The Jets parted ways with Robert Saleh and Dennis Allen was let go by the Saints, signaling a shift in leadership for both organizations.

The Jets' head coaching vacancy is particularly intriguing given their talented roster and potential for quick success. With the assistance of The 33rd Team consulting on their general manager and head coach search, speculation is rife about who might take the reins in New York.

Former NFL quarterback Chris Simms added fuel to the conversation during his appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, advocating for Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel as the ideal fit for the Jets.

"There's a lot of good candidates out there right now. If I'm the New York Jets, I am calling Mike Vrabel," Simms said. "He's made for New York. He's Bill Parcells Jr. He will get that organization back on track. That would be my number one guy."

Vrabel's no-nonsense style and proven ability to maximize talent could be what the Jets need to turn things around after a disappointing season.

A roster full of promise

The Jets boast an enviable core of young talent, including Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, and Sauce Gardner, along with veterans like Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams. Their likely top-10 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft adds another avenue to bolster the roster.

Former Jets head coach Rex Ryan, who has openly expressed interest in returning to the job, has pointed out that the current roster is far more talented than the one he coached during his tenure. Ryan's vocal campaigning adds another layer of intrigue to the Jets' coaching search.

The 2025 coaching carousel is shaping up to be competitive, with big names such as Bill Belichick, Jon Gruden, and Mike Vrabel potentially seeking opportunities.

Rising stars such as Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen are also in the mix.
