- Los Angeles Rams. Rams make final decision on Cooper Kupp while Puka Nacua showers other -catchers with love
- Los Angeles Rams. Clear favorite to be Cooper Kupp's next team has emerged and it doesn't make sense
The Los Angeles Rams surprised the NFL this Sunday as they announced that they agreed to with wide receiver Davante Adams on a two-year deal.
The 32-years-old is coming off his fifth-consecutive 1,000 yard season, accomplishing the feat across three games with the Las Vegas Raiders and 11 with the New York Jets after being traded during the 2024 season.
Adams s a team that's lead by veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford - who's already won a championship with the Rams - and exciting wide receiver Puka Nacua, one of the standouts for the Los Angeles team. If Cooper Kupp can stay in the team, the California squad is going to be scary.
Puka Nacua's extreme diet
Puka Nacua - former College Football Network All-Independent Wide Receiver of the Year in 2022 with the BYU Cougars - has had many achievements in his young NFL career, including setting rookie records and being named to the Pro Bowl.
He's also known for having some interesting takes when it comes to his diet. Puka publicly stated that he does not like vegetables, listing green onions and asparagus before saying that he does not eat any of those. He added that he replaces the nutrients from vegetables with watermelon and pineapple in the morning to go with his eggs and bacon.
And a video posted in social media shows Nacua eating the Wagyu Tri-Tip, a large, triangular cut of beef from the bottom of the sirloin. It's known for its rich flavor, marbling, and tenderness. Wagyu tri-tip can be cooked in many ways, including grilling, smoking, or roasting.
Nacua had an extraordinary second year in the league
No other qualified wide receiver cleared 2.9 yards per route, according to Pro Football Focus (PFF). Puka Nacua was a matchup nightmare no matter where he was on the field, or how opponents tried to slow down the Los Angeles Rams wide receiver.
Nacua ranked first in YPRR against zone coverage (3.57) by 0.66 yards and seventh versus man coverage (3.04), via to PFF. Meanwhile, NGS had him at third in YPRR from the slot (3.3) and second out wide (3.4). He may have missed a few games, but Nacua's production on a per-route basis was unmatched in 2024.
The Rams favorite word heading into the 2025 regular season would be "resilience", something they showed during last year. "The classic saying is, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger." said Nacua before their matchup against the eventual Super Bowl Champions Philadelphia Eagles, and that's exactly what the Los Angeles team is going to need in the fall.
