Justin Herbert will be in the NFL history books; he has the most ing yards record for a 5 NFL season span, although he hasn't won a play-off game yet.
In July 2023, Herbert agreed to a five-year contract worth $262.5 million with the Chargers, keeping him with the team until the 2029 season. Earning an average annual salary of $52.5 million, Herbert set a new record as the highest-paid player in NFL history at that time, suring the previous record held by Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Chargers head into the postseason
After a lot of changes during off-season the Chargers seek to make a Super Bowl run this season.

The two rookies: Ladd McConkey and Tarheeb Still have make a big impact on both sides of the field. Ladd, drafted 34 overall (2nd round) has 77 receptions, 1054 receiving yards, and 7 touchdowns. Tonight the fromer Gerorgia WR set a new franchise receiving yards record for a rookie.
Meanwhile, Tarheeb was drafted in 137 overall and has 4 interceptions (top-10 in the NFL), 36 solo tackles, 55 combined, and a 66-yard pick six touchdown.
