After blowing a 27-0 lead in the Wild Card Round, the LA Chargers quickly moved on from Joe Lombardi. Now, it appears the team has a new offensive coordinator.

The Chargers have already conducted interviews with a number of prospects, and there has generally been a clear pattern. From the same coaching family that Staley comes from, the Sean McVay coaching tree, Brandon Staley has spoken with a number of coaches.

On Sunday, it was announced that Kellen Moore would be leaving the Cowboys, with Mike McCarthy taking over as the team's head coach. Less than 24 hours later, the 34-year-old coordinator has been signed to the Chargers.

Kellen Moore now officially part of the Chargers

Moore now coaches Herbert, who had the seventh-lowest interception rate (1.4%) in the NFL, after coaching Dak Prescott, who led the league in that category this season (3.8%).

With an average of 22.47 points per game, the Chargers' offense finished the previous season in 10th place. However, they had trouble running the ball consistently; their 89.6 yards per game average ranked 30th.

During his four seasons as the Cowboys' offensive coordinator, Moore led his team to top-four offense rankings in of points scored per game (27.7), yards per game (391) and third-down conversion rate (44%).

He is expected to employ a more well-rounded offensive strategy with the Chargers than the Bolts did under Lombardi.
