According to those closest to him, Patrick Mahomes is a first-class teammate who goes the extra mile, especially when it comes to appreciating the people who protect him.

One of those teammates, offensive guard Trey Smith, recently offered a behind-the-scenes look at just how much Mahomes values his offensive line.

During an appearance on the New Rory and Mal YouTube show hosted by Jamil 'Mal' Clay and Rory Farrell, Smith detailed some of the jaw-dropping gifts Mahomes has given to show his appreciation.

"One thing I can say is he probably gifted me one of my most valuable possessions," Smith said. "Two Rolex watches, he got us a golf cart, all new golf clubs, Oakley sunglasses, the list goes on and on in of like how he shows love."

The generosity didn't stop there. Smith laughed as he recalled how easily impressed he might have been, even without the luxury items.

"As a big guy, you take me out to a nice restaurant, I'm happy," he joked.

But Mahomes, being Mahomes, took things a step further-especially during the holidays. Last year, the quarterback handed out gift packages that were nothing short of elite.

His Christmas haul for the offensive line included Rolex watches, custom Lucchese cowboy boots, Yeti coolers, Oakley sunglasses, and Normatec compression boots.

Mahomes still leaves teammates speechless

Of course, Mahomes' awe-inspiring qualities don't end off the field. The Chiefs superstar is still one of the most electrifying players in the NFL.

His ability to extend plays, improvise in broken situations, and throw from impossible angles has not only become his signature but has also left teammates like Smith in disbelief.

When asked if any particular play stood out to him, Smith had no shortage of options but pointed to a couple of standout moments that continue to baffle him.

"I was thinking probably the most recent one I think it was in Cleveland when we played the Browns," Smith recalled. "He just extended the play and got a touchdown. There's a play, maybe my second year, against the Bengals in the playoffs, he finds a way, another touchdown."
