Kelce calls Adam Sandler "the GOAT of comedy"

The conversation touched on Sandler's iconic career, the Happy Gilmore sequel, and Kelce's own growing involvement in Hollywood.

Kelce, who appears in Happy Gilmore 2, took a moment to express his iration for Sandler's impact on comedy and pop culture.

"You are the GOAT of comedy that we grew up on," he said.

"I can't thank you enough, man. You shot me the text after SNL, and it was like a full life circle moment of feeling like I am a part of something as cool as the Sandman."

Kelce's appreciation for Sandler comes at a time when he's exploring opportunities outside of football.

After hosting Saturday Night Live last year, the 10-time Pro Bowler seems to be dipping his toes further into acting.

Sandler, a Hollywood veteran known for classics like Billy Madison, The Longest Yard, and Uncut Gems, had high praise for Kelce's comedic chops.

When asked to rate Kelce's performance in Happy Gilmore 2 during the SNL 50th-anniversary celebration, Sandler didn't hold back.

"A 12," he said enthusiastically.

"Funny as hell, funny as hell! No kidding, unbelievable."

While Kelce is making moves in Hollywood, questions about his NFL future continue to swirl.

Addressing speculation about retirement, the 35-year-old tight end remained noncommittal.

"I know everybody wants to know whether or not I'm playing next year, and right now I'm just kicking everything down the road," he said.

"And I'm not making any crazy decisions, but right now the biggest thing is just being there for my teammates and being there for my coaches."

As he weighs his next steps, Kelce has kept a low profile following the Chiefs' Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Though fans were hoping for a new New Heights episode on Feb. 19, the Kelce brothers announced a brief hiatus.

Meanwhile, multiple reports suggest that Kelce and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, are taking a well-earned vacation to unwind after the grueling NFL season.
