A lifelong fan of pop icon Taylor Swift, Caitlin Clark has appeared on the New Heights podcast hosted by NFL stars Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce, where she shared her Swiftie journey and how the Eras Tour brought her family closer.
Clark spoke about her unforgettable experience attending Swift's Eras Tour in December at Indianapolis' Lucas Oil Stadium. The two-night spectacle was a highlight for Clark, not just for the music but for the memories it created with her family.
"Electric, it was great," Clark said. "My mom was begging me to take her. She's like, 'I got to go. Everybody's talking about it.' I'm like, 'Okay, okay.' ... It was a great show, a lot of fun, and full Swiftie, turned my mom into a full Swiftie. Two of my cousins were there too, so good time."
Clark, who lives near the Lucas Oil Stadium, enjoyed the first two concerts in Indianapolis on December 1 and 2. On the third night, she even tried to catch the show from her balcony.
A Swiftie since day one
This wasn't Clark's first Eras Tour experience. She had previously attended one of Swift's Minneapolis shows at the U.S. Bank Stadium with her Iowa Hawkeyes teammates.
"I went early on when Taylor first went on tour," Clark noted. "In Minnesota, U.S. Bank (Stadium). One of her early concerts, that was a lot of fun. I went with some of my college friends and we had a good time together.
Her love for Taylor Swift goes back to her childhood in Iowa. As a longtime fan, Clark appreciates how Swift's music has provided the soundtrack to many significant moments in her life.
"'Enchanted' is like my favorite song of all time," she added. "But it's kinda sad, but I'm still playing it anyway. It doesn't matter. We're going to make it fun. That's all that matters."
