Jason Kelce recently found himself at the center of a viral frenzy after a photo surfaced, making it look like he was fast asleep during Taylor Swift's "Eras" tour concert in Miami.
But the former NFL star isn't one to let rumors fly without addressing them, and he made sure to clear things up once and for all.
During the latest episode of the "New Heights" podcast, which he hosts with his brother Travis Kelce, Jason explained exactly what was happening when the now-infamous picture was snapped.
The image, taken by his former Eagles teammate Beau Allen, seemed to capture Jason mid-nap during the concert, causing quite the stir online.
As the conversation turned to the viral photo, Jason wasted no time shutting down the sleep-gate rumors. He revealed that contrary to how the picture appeared, he was actually "in the moment" enjoying the music.
"I'm tapping my thigh," Jason explained. "I'm just like in the moment, listening to the song. Then all of a sudden, I go on Twitter, and I see this f***ing picture. And I'm like, 'What the f**k!'"
But the real kicker? Jason pointed to a detail in the photo that he believes proves he was awake - his hand was hovering above his leg. "My hand is in mid-air," he said, insisting that would be impossible if he were sleeping.
While some might see the humor in the situation, Jason didn't seem upset with Beau for posting the photo, joking that he had fallen victim to "friendly fire."
Travis Kelce's "FOMO" Over Missing the Concert
While Jason was busy clearing his name, Travis itted to feeling some major "FOMO" over missing the Miami concert.
As the Kansas City Chiefs are deep into the football season, Travis was unable to attend the show with his family and friends, but that didn't stop him from expressing his envy.
"I wish I was there," Travis said, adding that Hard Rock Stadium in Miami seemed like an unforgettable experience for concert-goers. "I had all the FOMO in the world seeing you guys there," he joked.
Though Travis couldn't make it, Jason's proof of being wide awake-and his hilarious way of addressing the viral photo-left everyone laughing and closing the chapter on the sleep-gate saga.
