- Celebs. Taylor Swift confesses to Chariah Gordon about her plans after missing Travis Kelce's birthday
Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes maintained a noticeable distance on Monday night at Arrowhead Stadium throughout most of the Chiefs game, a sharp contrast to their close bond during last season's games. The recent divide comes after they openly backed different candidates in the presidential election, as Brittany has voiced her for Donald Trump, while Swift has publicly endorsed Kamala Harris.
"I want to thank beautiful Brittany Mahomes for so strongly defending me, and the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful Political Movement in the History of our now Failing Country," Trump said.
Despite a brief moment captured on social media where they hugged before kickoff, the two went their separate ways once the game began.
Last season, they were often seen cheering together as the Chiefs pushed toward their Super Bowl win, making their current dynamic stand out.
Swift's return to the Arrowhead
At this game, Swift, making her first appearance at Arrowhead in over two weeks, sat with her father Scott, alongside Travis Kelce's dad, Ed, and his sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce. Meanwhile, Brittany was notably absent from the group for most of the game, reing them only much later.
Brittany also took time to visit her husband, Patrick Mahomes, on the field before the game began, sealing the moment with a kiss.
Despite not spending time with Swift during the game, both women seemed to enjoy the night from their separate vantage points.
Their distant seating arrangement followed a similar pattern from the season opener against the Baltimore Ravens, when Swift watched the game from Kelce's luxury suite with his family, while Brittany, along with her daughter Sterling, cheered from a different section.
This was a notable departure from last season, when the two women were often seen celebrating touchdowns together, including an iconic moment when they devised a fun handshake during a game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
