Patrick Mahomes celebrated turning 29 on Sunday, September 15 after leading the Kansas City Chiefs to victory against the Cincinnati Bengals but his father was absent, so why was he missing?
Although he struggles for his typical form, Mahomes threw for 154 yards and two touchdowns in a 26-25 win at the Arrowhead Stadium to ensure the Chiefs took a second win of the season.
Then when he got back to his mansion, it turned out his wife had organized a birthday celebration for him by decorating their home with ballons and photos of the NFL star, in advance of his actual birthday which is on Tuesday, September 17.
And whilst fans picked up on the fact that both Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce appeared to be absent, another notable face missing was Mahomes' father nor did he seem to acknowledge it online either despite his ex-wife Randi and his son, Jackson, heading to the party.
The reason for why is currently unknown, but the Mahomes' seemed to have a good time regardless as his mom emotionally posted to Instagram with a photo of the family, "Celebrating 29 years of being a mom!! lol Happy bday son i love you #sept17 #blessed."
Why was Taylor Swift not there?
Meanwhile, Swift and Kelce's absence is also uned for although it could simply be because it seems as though it was a private get-together for the Mahomes' as opposed to the scandal around Brittany.
The pregnant mother of three recently appeared to endorse JD Vance and Donald Trump in the 2024 United States Presidential Election and hit out at critics when it became known she had done so.
Meanwhile Swift, a highly pro women's rights campaigner, has endorsed Kamala Harris for the Oval Office so she might be giving the Mahomes' a bit of a wider berth until the storm settles down again.
