With an eye on a change of course, George Pickens arrived at the Dallas Cowboys with a clear objective: to establish a winning culture in the organization.

The 24-year-old receiver, the protagonist of one of the most talked about moves of the offseason, landed in Texas after being acquired via trade from Pittsburgh, and from his first statements he made it clear that he is not thinking about contracts or prominence, but about victories."I'm really not thinking about contract negotiations. I'm just happy to be here with the Cowboys right now, trying to build a winning culture," Pickens told team media.

His arrival is intended to bolster an offense that already includes CeeDee Lamb, with whom he has a personal relationship from before the trade. "In football, we can each other. That's why I always go back to building a winning culture, and that's what we've been talking about in Dallas," he added.

A change of mentality in Dallas

Pickens knows he is ing a franchise with historic demands and a fan base that expects immediate results. However, he also seems to have the maturity to handle that pressure. "I'm going to go day by day. Everyone in the world strives to grow and better themselves. I feel like growing means I'm going in the right direction and getting to the Cowboys. Working every day. That's how you build a winning culture in any sport," he explained confidently.

During his time with the Steelers, Pickens produced more than 2,800 yards and 12 touchdowns, despite dealing with constant changes at the quarterback position. Now, he will play alongside Dak Prescott, a solidified quarterback and runner-up for MVP in 2023. "He's a very prolific quarterback, and also smart. I'm really looking forward to working with him," said the receiver, who hopes that offensive stability will allow him to reach his best level.

Pickens and Lamb: a fearsome duo for defenses

The combination of George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb has the potential to revolutionize Dallas' aerial game. Both are dynamic receivers, capable of breaking coverage and creating imbalance. "I'm really excited," Pickens said of the opportunity to share the field with Lamb. "There's no 'he gets the ball, I get the ball'; we each other."

With Brian Schottenheimer as offensive coordinator, the Cowboys are expected to make the most of this new duo. Pickens' arrival not only brings depth, but also versatility and a healthy competitive mentality. "I like the magic that's here. I like their style. I feel like they have something really good, for sure," said the former Georgia player, who was part of the national championship team and is now looking to replicate that winning experience in the NFL.
