Micah Parsons has been a force of nature in the NFL, dominating offenses and racking up accolades. But while the Dallas Cowboys' star linebacker is busy making plays on the field, he's also making waves off it-with his growing media presence. And not everyone is a fan.

Enter Lawrence Taylor, the legendary linebacker who redefined the position. He recently weighed in on Parsons' rising stardom, but his message was clear: Stay locked in.

Lawrence Taylor's blunt advice: More football, fewer distractions

"He's a great player. But guys, let's do more. Let's play more football and less podcasts," Taylor said. His comment was a direct shot at Parsons' increasing involvement in media, including his popular podcast.

Taylor wasn't entirely dismissing Parsons' ventures outside the game. In fact, he even joked that the Cowboys star could have a career in Hollywood. "Micah in particular, he'll have a... movie, action movie star... that brother's got it," Taylor itted. But his overall message remained firm-football first, everything else second.

Taylor also shared a valuable lesson from his own career: "One of the things you talked about is you always chased the guy in front of you, but then when you got in front, you want to let nobody catch you." It was a reminder that staying at the top requires relentless focus and commitment.

Is Jerry Jones ready to part ways with Parsons?

While Taylor's comments grabbed attention, an even bigger storm is brewing in Dallas. With the Cowboys coming off a disappointing 7-10 season, owner Jerry Jones faces tough decisions-including what to do with Parsons.

Parsons is under contract for 2025 after Dallas exercised his fifth-year option, guaranteeing him around $24 million. However, with back-to-back Pro Bowl seasons under his belt, he's in line for a mega-extension, likely exceeding $30 million per year. The problem? The Cowboys are already heavily invested in Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, making Parsons' contract a financial puzzle.

Trade rumors are already swirling. One bold scenario suggests Parsons could be dealt to the Bengals in exchange for rusher Trey Hendrickson, the No. 17 pick in the draft, and a 2026 third-round selection. On paper, Dallas would gain valuable assets-but losing Parsons, one of the league's elite defenders at just 25, would be a massive gamble.

For now, Parsons remains committed to Dallas, stating that contract talks with Jones have been positive. But until an extension is signed, his future remains uncertain. One thing's for sure-this offseason will be a wild ride for Cowboys fans.
