The Cleveland Browns carry high expectations following an active offseason with several strategic moves, including a 2025 NFL Draft where all eyes were on Shedeur Sanders. However, other players are also eager to secure their spot on the roster and prove pivotal in elevating the team to the next level.
One such player is Quinshon Judkins, a former Ohio State running back, who stays out of the quarterback debate surrounding the starting role and focuses on what he can contribute to the Browns' success.
Quinshon Judkins aims for immediate impact
"As a whole, we had a great draft class," Judkins told Sports Illustrated. "I think everyone brought attention because of our talent and work ethic. Really, everybody who came in with that mentality of being ready to work. I feel like for myself, as a competitor and as a player, that was one of my goals," he said when asked about the attention surrounding Shedeur Sanders.
"When I come to be a Cleveland Brown, I'm coming in to change the organization, contribute, and do the best I can. I know what it takes to win, so I'm going to bring that mentality here to Cleveland and do the same thing," he added.
Judkins is determined to make the Browns a winning team and could deliver an immediate impact after suring 1,000 yards in each of his college football seasons, where he also scored a total of 50 touchdowns.
In just four College Football Playoff games with Ohio State, Judkins scored six times, contributing to a campaign that culminated in a national championship.
While the NFL is a different beast, Judkins doesn't pay much attention to player profile analyses or opinions. Instead, he focuses on training and improving for the team.
"I really don't listen to the good or bad," Judkins said. "That's just how I was raised, part of my upbringing, just dialed in and focused as an athlete. The people who know me, who recruited me, they know I have a lot of accomplishments. Freshman of the Year SEC, everything. Turn on the tape. It shows. I do everything as a player. Complete running back, every-down running back, catch, block, run 80 yards, 90 yards, whatever you want me to do, I'll do it. I'm just excited to do it at the next level."
