Super Bowl champs eye Myles Garrett, but there's one major problem

The Eagles love going big in the offseason. Whether it's landing Saquon Barkleyon a massive deal or reloading for another Super Bowl run, Howie Roseman is always looking for an edge.

So when Myles Garrett's name popped up in trade rumors, it made sense. The Browns' star rusher reportedly wants out, and Philadelphia is the kind of team that never shies away from a game-changing move.

But here's the catch-actually, a few of them.

The money isn't working and neither are the Browns

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport threw cold water on the idea, pointing out that fitting Garrett's contract into Philly's salary cap situation would take some serious maneuvering. "Even the Eagles can't fit everybody they want," Rapoport said on Good Morning Football. "I would be very surprised if this happens."

And then there's Cleveland. Despite Garrett's reported trade request, the Browns are making it clear they don't intend to move him. GM Andrew Berry called Garrett a "huge part" of the team's future and said he "can't imagine" trading him.

That's a problem for the Eagles, who-despite their best efforts-can't force Cleveland to deal their franchise rusher.

Could the Eagles actually make this work?

The only way Philly pulls this off is by getting creative. They've already shed some big contracts, parting ways with Darius Slay and James Bradberry. But Garrett wouldn't just be another addition-he'd instantly become one of the highest-paid non-quarterbacks in the league.

Roseman could try to restructure deals, move more pieces around, or convince Cleveland to reconsider. But there's no sign that the Browns are budging.

Other teams are lurking

Even if the Browns change their stance, the Eagles won't be the only team in line. The Buffalo Bills and a few others are reportedly watching the situation closely, meaning Philly would have to outbid some serious competition.

At the end of the day, the Eagles want to make a splash, and Garrett would be a dream addition. But unless something major shifts, this one might be just that-a dream.
