The NFL offseason is heating up with trade rumors, and one name that's been making headlines is Cleveland Browns' star defensive end, Myles Garrett. Garrett recently requested a trade, citing his desire to compete for a Super Bowl, something he feels he can't achieve with the Browns in their current state.

Philadelphia Eagles have emerged as a potential suitor for Garrett. The Eagles, fresh off their Super Bowl LIX victory, are looking to bolster their rush, which has seen a decline since their peak in 20223. With Josh Sweat hitting free agency and Brandon Graham contemplating retirement, Garrett could be the missing piece to restore the Eagles' defensive dominance.

However, the Eagles' interest comes with financial hurdles. Garrett's contract, which includes two years remaining and a hefty salary, would require some maneuvering to fit under the cap. Despite these challenges, Eagles GM Howie Roseman is known for his bold moves, and acquiring Garrett could be a game-changer for the team.

A new team that has a chance to grab him

On the other hand, the Detroit Lions are also in the mix. The Lions have one of the league's best rushers in Aidan Hutchinson, but they struggled to find a complement to him before he went out for the season with a broken leg. Adding Garrett to the mix could instantly give the Lions one of the league's top rushes.

The Lions have the cap space to make such a move, and their recent acquisition of Za'Darius Smith from the Browns shows a positive history between the two front offices. However, Lions' star Hutchinson has expressed reservations about adding another top-tier rusher to the lineup, citing concerns about having too many stars on one defensive line.

As the offseason progresses, it will be interesting to see if the Eagles or Lions can meet the Browns' asking price for Garrett and if Garrett will get his wish to play for a Super Bowl contender.
