- NFL. Simone Biles returns home with husband Jonathan Owens and leaves a happy message for her fans
Simone Biles made headlines with her appearance at Soldier Field on Saturday, but this may be one of the few NFL games the star gymnast attends this season.
Married to newly signed Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens, Biles is juggling her commitments with the Gold Over America Tour, making her availability for NFL games uncertain.
In a TikTok video posted Monday, Biles explained to her 5.3 million followers why her availability has changed.
"I'm not sure how many games I'll be able to make because, in a few weeks, we go on tour. If you guys aren't aware, I host the Gold Over America Tour, and I think right now we're doing about 32 stops," Biles detailed.
What is the Gold Over America Tour?
The Gold Over America Tour showcases stunning performances by top gymnasts, including Olympians Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, Hezly Rivera, Paul Juda, Frederick Richard, Brody Malone, and more. The tour kicks off in Oceanside, California, on Monday, Sept. 16, and concludes in Detroit on Sunday, Nov. 3.
For Chicago fans, the tour will make a stop in the Windy City on Sunday, Sept. 29, coinciding with the Bears' home game against the Rams. Owens, now in his sixth NFL season and first in Chicago, signed a two-year deal with the Bears in March after spending the 2023 season with the Green Bay Packers.
Simone Biles' Soldier Field appearance has sparked interest from locals
Biles' appearance at Soldier Field drew attention not only because of her presence but also for her fashion choice.
She wore a personalized jacket that referenced her husband's previous team, the Packers, sparking reactions from NFL fans due to the long-standing rivalry between the Bears and Packers.
Despite the chatter, Biles seemed unfazed, sharing several photos of herself in the jacket on Instagram. The gymnast, who married Owens last year, continues to him as he embarks on his journey with the Bears.
Her husband, Jonathan Owens, was granted permission by the Bears to travel to Paris to her during the Games.
Simone Biles has had a whirlwind few weeks following her outstanding performance at the Paris Olympics. The 4-foot-8 gymnastics icon won four Olympic medals, including three golds, cementing her status as one of the greatest gymnasts of all time.
