Shedeur Sanders left the Colorado Buffaloes with an impressive career, breaking over 100 school records that made the school retire his No. 2 uniform... but a frehsman wants to make the university forget about the quarterback soon.

Julian "JuJu" Lewis is only 17 years old, but the five-star recruit by ESPN and Rivals is already making a big impression with the Buffs. The unanimous top-10 quarterback in the class of 2025 wants to have a special collegiate career, and he's on the right track under the guidance of Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders.

"It's not just that he doesn't make mistakes; it's that he's quick to make good decisions as well. He's excellent at going through his progressions and being decisive in the ing game. Julian Lewis is impressing coaches and staff with his work ethic, his dedication to the game and his commitment to excellence and his desire to have a legendary career in college. Deion Sanders hopes that "JuJu" can accomplish a lot of things with a Colorado uniform.

Lewis has shown part of his workout regimen with his social media - he has 203,000 Instagram followers without throwing a single in college -. The routine includes doing several deadlifts in the weight room, with the caption: "Ain't nobody in the building, but there's somebody in the building. #TrustGod #KeepWorking."

Fans absolutely love the dedication an effort that the young frehsman has shown so far with the Buffs. "Keep working youngin. You have 3-4 years until you see your biggest dream come true. This is how you get there. God Bless," an X wrote. "Put that work in nephew. Congratulations, you're going to have a great season," commented somebody else.

Shedeurs legacy with Colorado is hard to match

Let's not get it twisted, though, Shedeur Sanders built a legacy with the Colorado Buffaloes that's pretty hard to match. He won the Johnny Unitas award as the top quarterback in college football in 2024, when we was named first-team All-American by multiple publications and second-team by the AP.
