As we get closer to the NFL Draft, teams continue evaluating their potential picks, aiming to make the right choices and select a player who can transform their franchise.
The history of the Draft has given us historic moments, and in recent years, the Penn State Nittany Lions have produced two players who have become league standouts.
The most outstanding players have undoubtedly been Saquon Barkley, who now boasts a Super Bowl ring with the Philadelphia Eagles. Barkley had some tough years with the New York Giants but has found success in Philadelphia and became the highest-paid running back in history.
Meanwhile, Micah Parsons, with his 52.5 sacks for the Dallas Cowboys, is arguably the best defensive player in the NFL and is on track to become the highest-paid non-quarterback in the league.
Penn State could produce another NFL star
Penn State tight end Tyler Warren has been linked to the New York Jets, who hold the seventh overall pick in the first round. Tyler is considered the best TE in this draft class and is even described as a generational talent.
Warren had an outstanding 2024 season with Penn State. The tight end recorded 104 receptions for 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns. He also contributed on the ground, rushing for 218 yards and four touchdowns. With these stats, Warren's value for the Draft has skyrocketed.
Tyler Warren received multiple awards, including the John Mackey Award, which is given to the best tight end in the nation. He was also named a First-Team All-American. With these accolades, Warren declared for the NFL Draft.
Warren has strong demand in the NFL
The truth is, Tyler Warren has received plenty of interest for his NFL career. The Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints are among the teams interested in the Penn State standout. However, the New York Jets appear to be the frontrunners to land him with the seventh overall pick.
