Travis Hunter, the electrifying two-way star from Colorado, is wasting no time transitioning to the professional stage. Just days after wrapping up his collegiate career in the Valero Alamo Bowl, Hunter has reportedly secured representation for his NFL journey.
According to David Rumsey of Front Office Sports, Hunter will sign with Young Money APAA Sports, the sports agency founded by hip-hop icon Lil Wayne. Young Money outpaced powerhouse agencies like WME, CAA, Klutch Sports Group, and Athletes First, all of which made strong pitches to represent the top prospect.
Hunter, currently the No. 1 player on Bleacher Report's 2025 NFL Draft Big Board, s a growing list of high-profile athletes at Young Money APAA. This includes Duke quarterback Darian Mensah and Colorado defensive end Jehiem Oatis, who recently transferred from Alabama.

Signs of the partnership
The connection between Hunter and Lil Wayne had been brewing for some time. During his Heisman Trophy acceptance speech earlier this month, Hunter gave a nod to the rapper, signaling a potential collaboration. Shortly after, Young Money APAA Sports co-founder Adie von Gontard shared photos of himself with Hunter and the Heisman Trophy at the ceremony, further hinting at the relationship.
Hunter's move to Young Money APAA will focus on his on-field endeavors, while SMAC Entertainment will continue to manage his off-field representation. SMAC has already secured lucrative NIL deals for Hunter, including a partnership with Adidas that is expected to extend into his NFL career.
Hunter capped off his time at Colorado in the Valero Alamo Bowl with a performance that highlighted his unique two-way talent. Despite Colorado's 36-14 loss to BYU, Hunter recorded four catches for 106 yards and a touchdown on offense, while contributing four tackles on defense.
