Deion Sanders always does a good job of giving the media something to talk about. Whether it's by design or by accident, media appearances by Sanders usually lead to golden moments, sometimes at his expense.
So when Colorado held its media day on Friday, everyone was tuned in to see what he had to say ahead of a crucial 2024 season. He didn't disappoint, getting heated at a reporter due to his affiliation with CBS.
Why does Deion Sanders hate CBS so much?
Eric Christensen is the Managing Editor of Sports for CBS Colorado. He tried to sway Sanders into answering his question by prefacing that he's from the Denver and not the national side, which Sanders has the beef with.
Sanders wasn't buying it, though, retorting that "you are who you are, CBS is CBS". He then says that what CBS did was "foul". No one is entirely sure what CBS did to anger Sanders so much; there have been some negative articles in the past, but nothing overly extreme that we know of.
Sanders also got into it with a different reporter, interjecting Sean Keeler of the Denver Post's question by asking him why he doesn't like the program: "Why do you not like us? You don't like us, man. Why do you do this to yourself?"
To be fair, Sanders has dealt with a ton of criticism since becoming a head coach a few years ago. A lot of it is due to unneeded attention brought by the camera crews he employs, but some of the coverage has clearly affected him personally.
