On June 15, the Athlon Sports website published a story that paints Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders as a complete nepotist. According to their sources, Coach Prime forced his players to attend a concert in of his son Shedeur Sanders' rapping career. After the news broke, everybody on Sanders' camp jumped and snapped back at the folks at Athlon Sports. An alleged source that spoke to the publication said: "The Wayne concert was the final straw for a few players who hit the transfer portal. When Coach Prime told us we all had to be there to Shedeur as a rapper, they were not happy at all. To be honest, it was nothing but a huge distraction and Daddy Ball was being played."

Deion Sanders' Final Wishes: A Tearful Revelation

How did Deion Sanders respond to this?

The response from Deion Sanders has been short but sweet, he simply brushd it off as you can read from his tweet. People surrounding him were more reactive then he was, he is used to these vitriolic criticisms as it comes with the territory. His kids laughed at the matter as well, they deem this story a complete fabrication in order to cause instability within the Colorado Buffaloes. According to Sanders himself, this is nothing but a tactic to take the entire team off it's game. This wouldn't happen if Deion Sanders wasn't considered a threat within the NCAA community. Keep in mind that the NCAA has some of the most psssionate fans in any sport. They take football extremely seriously.

But in of Deion Sanders' behavior with players, it's no secret Coach Prime holds the highest standard for all his playrs and that attitude rubs a lot of people the wrong way. There is really no way to combat against this because it will keep happening regardless of how the coach responds. All he can do is laugh the matter off without being reactionary. Unless he finds the matter worthy for a lawsuit, he will allow for publications like these to keep coming and won't do much to prevent them. As we said, it comes with the territory.
