In the heart of the Nevada desert, a new gem is beginning to shine. The Las Vegas Stadium Authority has recently given the green light to the development of a state-of-the-art stadium for the Athletics.

With all agreements in place, the $1.75 billion project is set to break ground in the spring of 2025. By the 2028 season, fans will flock to a 30,000-seat domed arena, equipped with cutting-edge amenities like under-seat cooling systems and a split lower bowl that brings the excitement closer than ever.

The project is a blend of public and private investment, with Nevada and Clark County contributing $380 million, while Athletics' owner John Fisher has pledged $1.1 billion. The team will play in California still.

They can't wait for the future to arrive

As the sun sets over Las Vegas, a new era for the Athletics and their fans is on the horizon, promising unforgettable games and a vibrant new home for baseball in the city of lights.

Starting in 2025, the Oakland Athletics will call Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento their temporary home while they wait for their new Las Vegas stadium to be completed.

As their lease at the Oakland Coliseum ends, the Athletics will bring Major League Baseball to Sacramento, sharing the space with the Sacramento River Cats. The ballpark will undergo renovations to meet MLB standards, creating an intimate environment for fans to enjoy the games.
