Seeing Juan Soto in a Mets jersey is a challenge, especially after experiencing a thrilling World Series season. The Yankees' dream of a formidable outfield along with Aaron Judge and Alex Verdugo came down when they faced off against the Dodgers and fell short. It's a bittersweet moment, highlighting both the excitement of the game and the heartache of unfulfilled potential player on a team project.

He ended up switching to the city's rival, the Mets, and took the number 22 from Brett Baty. Juan wanted to show his gratitude to his new teammate, who understood that Soto's 15-year contract might be considered more significant than his own and let his jersey number free. What did Juan gifted to him?

Juan Soto, the Dominican star, achieved a significant milestone after the MLB season, earning the Silver Slugger Award for outfielders in the American League. This achievement ties him with Mike Trout for the most Silver Slugger awards before the age of 26.

According to MLB Stats, Soto has now won five Silver Slugger awards, matching the record that Trout set when he was 25 years old. Additionally, Soto secured this honor for the fifth consecutive season, representing three different teams: the Washington Nationals (2020-2022), the San Diego Padres (2022-2023), and the New York Yankees (2024).

During the recently concluded season, which was his first with the Yankees, Soto led the American League in runs scored with 128. He also hit 41 home runs, recorded 109 RBIs, achieved a .419 on-base percentage, a .569 slugging percentage, and a .989 OPS, with an impressive batting average of .288. Soto's consistent performance has not only earned him individual accolades but also recognition as a four-time All-Star.
