Shohei Ohtani continues to prove on each opportunity he has that he's the best baseball player in the world and at his current pace, he might be among the best in the sport's history due to his unbelievable skills not only batting, but being an absolute menace for opposite batters when he takes the mound.

During the Los Angeles Angels Tuesday 2-0 win over the Washington Nationals, Shohei Ohtani secured his 10th consecutive pitching start in which he's allowed two or fewer runs, breaking the tie for the record with legendary pitcher Nolan Ryan, who had nine consecutive starts with two or fewer runs allowed between 1972 and 1973.

The Nationals managed to bat just one hit against the Japanes in seven innings, his ERA over this past 10 starts is just 0.84.

Shohei Ohtani is having an incredible start of the 2023 MLB season

Shohei Ohtani had only allowed one run in 12 innings pitched across his two first starts for the Angels this season, striking out 18 batters and giving out just seven walks entering Tuesday's game against the Nationals.

Ohtani's 2023 season ERA so far is just 0.47, which is mind blowing for a pitcher with as many innings pitched as him.
