Veteran actor Harrison Ford, widely recognized for playing the U.S. President in Air Force One, has openly endorsed Kamala Harris for President just days before the election.

In a straightforward black-and-white video, the 82-year-old Indiana Jones actor shared his reasons for choosing the current Vice President over the 45th US President Donald Trump, citing serious concerns about Trump's leadership and a growing chorus of former istration officials who oppose his return to power.

"I've been voting for 64 years, and I don't usually talk about it. But when so many former Trump officials are saying, 'For God's sake, don't do this again,' you have to listen," Ford explained in the video.

He pointed out that these individuals, from governors to generals, were once loyal advocates for Trump's policies but are now voicing strong opposition.

Ford noted that this election could lead some Republicans to vote Democrat for the first time, driven by concerns over Trump's divisive approach to governance.

Ford urges a vote for unity over loyalty

Ford drew a clear line between what he values in Harris and his objections to Trump.

"Kamala Harris will protect your right to disagree with her ideas. We'll debate, work together, and move forward," Ford said. "The other guy demands unquestioning loyalty and says he wants revenge. I'm using my vote to move forward with Kamala Harris."

He acknowledged that he doesn't align with every policy put forth by the Harris camp, but trusts in their core principles: a commitment to science, rule of law, and governing for all Americans, not just one faction.

This endorsement aligns with Ford's long-standing frustration over what he views as Trump's divisive tactics.

"For four years, he's turned us against each other while cozying up to dictators around the world. That's not who we are," Ford added, emphasizing that America doesn't need to be "made great again" - it needs to work toward unity and collaboration.

Ford questions fear-based campaigns

In a powerful message for undecided voters, Ford urged Americans to examine each candidate's campaign tone.

"Who's trying to scare you into voting for them? Who's encouraging anger and suspicion toward your neighbors, and who's inspiring you to build something with those around you?" Ford asked, suggesting that Harris offers a leadership style grounded in hope and mutual respect.

His concerns echo recent comments from former Trump officials like John Kelly, who has publicly criticized Trump's divisive approach, calling him "the definition of a fascist."

Ford's endorsement adds him to a growing list of celebrities ing Harris, including Taylor Swift, BeyoncƩ, and Leonardo DiCaprio. Notably, Ford has previously made his stance on Trump clear.

During a 2020 appearance on The Jimmy Kimmel Show, he referred to Trump as a "son of a b**ch" and has been vocal about his stance on the environment.

In 2017, he warned, "Our biggest threat is not climate change or pollution; it's people in power who don't believe in science."
