Since 1997, the Social Security istration (SSA) has adopted a staggered payment system based on the date of birth of the beneficiaries to facilitate the distribution of funds.

Under this system, beneficiaries born between the 1st and 10th receive their payment on the second Wednesday of each month. Those born between the 11th and the 20th receive their deposit on the third Wednesday, and those with birth dates between the 21st and the 31st receive their payment on the last Wednesday of the month.

Who will receive their payment on February 12?

According to the SSA calendar for 2025, beneficiaries born between the 1st and the 10th of the month will receive their February payment this Wednesday. The other two groups of enrollees have their payments scheduled for February 19th and 26th.

The average monthly payment SSDI beneficiaries receive in 2025 is $1,976. Individual payments vary according to your work history, retirement date, and the age at which you decided to retire.

Other payment dates

The SSDI payment schedule has some exceptions. If you started receiving your benefits before May 1997 or if you also receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI), you receive your check on the 3rd of each month.

If you don't receive your payment on the due date, the SSA recommends waiting three mailing days before taking action. If this time es and you haven't received your deposit, your bank to that the issue isn't on their end. If everything is fine at your bank, then reach out to the SSA to resolve any potential problems.
