Meghan Markle may soon be stepping into the fashion world. In a new interview with Fast Company published on May 27, the Duchess of Sussex opened up about the early success of her lifestyle brand As ever and teased possible future ventures-including clothing.
The brand's first product launch, which focused on edible items such as honey, fruit preserves, and flower sprinkles, sold out in under an hour. Meghan, 43, previously hinted that the next steps could include home goods, and now, fashion may be on the table too.
"The category of fashion is something I will explore at a later date, because I do think that's an interesting space for me," Meghan told Fast Company.
Rooted in home, growing in scope
For Meghan, As ever is a deeply personal project inspired by her own life.
"My heart is very deeply in my home," she said. "Everything comes from being rooted in the love story of your home and garden, and then you can imagine different verticals coming out of that."
Fashion would not be new territory for the Duchess. In 2019, she co-created a capsule collection of women's workwear in partnership with Smart Works, a charity that s women in securing employment. More recently, she launched a ShopMy page featuring her favorite fashion items and accessories - a curated collection she called "the things I love."
While Meghan didn't confirm specific fashion plans, she emphasized her intention to listen to her audience and grow As ever accordingly.
"I want to really focus on the hospitality angle of As ever, but as we take the learnings, we can understand what the customer's needs are seasonally," she said.
New products are expected to launch in early 2026, and PEOPLE reports that a restock of the original line will arrive soon.
A brand that reflects a multifaceted life
The Duchess of Sussex continues to juggle many roles - mother, podcast host, Netflix series star, and entrepreneur - and shows no signs of limiting her ambitions.
"If I had to write a résumé, I don't know what I would call myself," she said.
"I think it speaks to this chapter many of us find ourselves in, where none of us are one note. But I believe all the notes I am playing are part of the same song."
With a rapidly growing brand and plans for expansion across lifestyle categories, Meghan Markle is once again redefining her public identity - this time, on her own .
