Prince William's unexpected response after a fan shouts "You're beautiful" to Kate Middleton

In a new engagement, Kate Middleton and Prince Williams, embarked for Scotland to fulfill a special duty.

As patron of the Royal Navy from 2021, the Princess of Wales had the important task of christening a ship by smashing a bottle of whiskey against the hull, as is customary in the country.

During the ceremony, the Princess of Wales said: "It is my pleasure to name this ship HMS Glasgow. God bless her and all who sail on her."

Kate wore a navy blue and white dress by Suzannah London, in a clear reference to the nautical theme. However, one curious detail stole the looks (and the laughs) of the audience.

As the Prince and Princess walked past some followers and fans, one of them said to Kate: "You're beautiful," but this did not end here, but the eldest son of King Charles was also flattered, as the fan quickly added: "You too, William!"

This scene provoked laughter from the people present, including the royal couple, but it was even more laughter when William replied "You don't have to say that. Don't worry."

The event made clear his for the British Royal Navy and the UK's defense capabilities.

Kate's return to her royal engagements

Kate made her first appearance after a two-year long absence at the final garden party at Buckingham Palace. Currently in remission from cancer, Kate's low-key return to public life has been gradual.
