In the midst of escalating sexual assault allegations, hip-hop entrepreneur Sean "Diddy" Combs has sold his stake in the media company Revolt. The company announced on Tuesday that Combs' shares have been completely redeemed and retired, confirming that Revolt will continue to operate as a Black-owned entity.

Revolt, known for producing series like "Drink Champs," was established by Combs and Andy Shuon in 2013 with a mission to empower and amplify Black voices. Combs resigned from his position at Revolt in November 2023 due to mounting legal issues and allegations, including those made by his former partner, Cassie Ventura.

"As the company advances in redefining entertainment to empower creators and establish a new media model, this new structure guarantees that the employees who are driving the company's growth can also benefit from its success," Revolt stated.

Ventura, who was signed to Combs' Bad Boy music label, filed a lawsuit in November accusing him of physical abuse and sexual assault during their relationship, which began in 2005 when Ventura was 19 and Combs was 37. They reached a settlement one day after the lawsuit was filed, which Combs' lawyer clarified did not constitute an ission of guilt.

The same month, several more sexual assault allegations surfaced, leading to Combs' departure from Revolt's leadership. Combs has denied all allegations of wrongdoing.

The lawsuits are piling up for Diddy

Following these events, four additional women and a music producer from his recent album have filed lawsuits against Combs, accusing him of sexual harassment, drugging, and threats. In March, federal investigations included raids on Combs' homes in Los Angeles and Miami.

Last month, a troubling video linked to Ventura's lawsuit, obtained by CNN, showed Combs physically assaulting her in a Los Angeles hotel. In response, Combs posted a video apology on Instagram, addressing his actions.

"It's tough to look back on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you have to do that," Combs said. "I hit rock bottom - I make no excuses. My behavior in that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions. I was disgusted then, and I am disgusted now."

As Revolt transitions without Combs, the company remains dedicated to its core mission of uplifting Black voices and ensuring that its workforce benefits from the company's success.
