"Tom Cruise does something you expect - he's featured in the kind of elaborate stunt sequence that's become this 30-year-old series' trademark - but he also does something you may not expect. He tops himself in the most outrageous way. He literally flies beyond all the stunts he's done before, leaving us in an exhilarated state of awe," wrote movie critic Owen Gleiberman in a Variety article.

Tom Cruise hopes to be making movies "into [his] 100s"

Tom Cruise gave a bold answer to a question from a reporter at the New York premiere of "Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning." The Hollywood superstar got asked when does he plan on stop making action movies, taking into consideration that he once mentioned that he wanted to make "Mission: Impossible" films until he was in his 80s.

Cruise corrected the female reporter. "I actually said I'm going to make movies into my 80s; actually, I'm going to make them into my 100s." Tom added that he will never stop doing action movies, but he also plans on continuing making humor, romance and drama films

Tom will be 63 years old on July 3rd. The Syracuse, New York native emerged in the 1980s as one of Hollywood's most popular leading men. Since then, he has been one of the industry's most consistently bankable and artistically versatile superstars, starring in classics such as "Top Gun", "Jerry Maguire", "Vanilla Sky", and "Eyes Wide Shut", among many others.

Tom Cruise has never won an Oscar

Despite his prolific career, Tom Cruise has never won an Academy Award, ing big list names suchs as Ralph Fiennes, Edward Norton, Mark Ruffalo,Johnny Depp, and Willem Dafoe. All of them are known to be superb at their roles and they even have had nominations, but they've never won.

Cruise was nominated for the very first time for his leading role in "Born on the Fourth of July", but he lost to Daniel Day-Lewis. He got nominated again for Best Actor thanks to "Jerry Maguire", but lost to Geoffrey Rush. He was nominated again in 2000 as Best ing Actor for "Magnolia", but the Oscar went to Michael Caine.

And he was nominated again for being a producer of "Top Gun: Maverick", but the winner was "Everything Everywhere All at Once." There's just something about winning an Oscar that Tom Cruise hasn't been able to crack, but as long as he keeps on making movies, we're sure that he would eventually get that Academy Award he rightfully deserves.
