Marvel has several interesting projects for the coming months. This year sees the release of 'Captain America: Brave New World'. This will be followed by 'Thunderbolts' and 'Fantastic Four: First Steps' in 2026. That year is marked on the calendar of all fans of this type of animated film for one of the most eagerly awaited films: 'Avengers: Doomsday'.

A feature film in which Robert Downey Jr. will return to the Marvel Universe to play Doctor Doom, the villain of this plot that promises great excitement for the saga's faithful fans. Kevin Feige, CEO of Marvel Studios, has left more clues about the release, which is scheduled for May 1, 2026.

These statements took place at the CinemaCon in Las Vegas, an annual fair for the major Hollywood studios. The president announced that Doctor Doom will have to face the Avengers, Thunderbolts, Wakandans, Fantastic Four and X-Men in one of the biggest battles in Marvel history.

A cast of up to 27 actors from the 'Avengers: Doomsday' family

As reported by MovieWeb, Kevin Feige had a recorded video message for attendees of Las Vegas's CinemaCon. The message included a confirmation that more names were going to be announced and that the film was going to portray all the heroes.

A story that has already provoked the reaction of fans of these films in an installment that promises to connect different multiverses that unite the protagonists of different films. Up to 27 names have been confirmed to 'Avengers: Doomsday', including the Fantastic Four (Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and Thunderbolts (Sebastian Stan, Florence Pugh, David Harbour...).

In addition, other actors such as Letitia Wright, Simu Liu, Anthony Mackie, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Hemsworth and Paul Rudd will be present in this feature film. The X-Men will also be represented by Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden and Channing Tatum.
