Tom Cruise and his suffering in the most extreme scene of 'Mission Impossible': "It's better to stop than to have someone get hurt"

The actor proves he doesn't need extras

Tom Cruise and his suffering in the most extreme 'Mission Impossible' scene

It is still unknown if 'Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part Two' will be Tom Cruise's last adventure as Ethan Hunt, but what is clear is that the actor does not seem to show any signs of fatigue. His trademark has always been to perform all the scenes in the film, without the need for any extra action, although this entails unnecessary risks

We've already seen Tom Cruise on the wing of a plane as it takes off, climbing up a building in Dubai by the glass windows on the outside and even had to stop filming after breaking his ankle in a chase across the rooftop. In the second part of 'Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning', the actor will dive with a diving team into a water-filled submarine.

The difficulty is such that the Paramount team has published a video on social networks of this part of the filming. A member of the team warns Tom Cruise of the danger of the scene: "Are we ready? Ready for action. This shot is risky. I'd rather you be cautious and stop the whole movie than someone get hurt."

This is not the only complicated scene that Cruise has had to face in this film. According to the actor himself in an interview with Empire, "he had to relearn how to breathe". The reason? The speed at which he has faced unprotected: "When you stick your face out, going over 120 or 130 miles per hour, you don't get oxygen". He also said that he "blacked out before getting back into the cabin".
