Fans of 'Mission Impossible' are in luck. The film's star, actor Tom Cruise, has posted on social media a preview of what awaits us in the next instalment of the popular saga. Entitled 'Dead Reckoning', the trailer shared by the artist explains: "Everything you were, everything you've done, has led to this".
Tom Cruise also publishes a date that fans of his films will mark on their calendars: May 23, 2025. In the images of the preview you can see some of the most emblematic scenes of the saga. For example, the one in which Ethan Hunt, the character played by the actor, is seen dangling in a security camera and staying a few centimeters from the ground.
Explosions, acrobatic maneuvers hanging from a plane and the appearance of old friends are some of the moments that can also be seen in the preview. "I need you to trust me one last time," says Hunt in the video. Audiences have always responded, as it is a successful and accredited saga, whose box office performance is generally satisfactory.
Anyway, in the latest installment, 'Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One', the figures were not so splendid: it generated 567 million. These numbers, although they may seem like a very high amount, did not quite convince Paramount Pictures, which released the film shortly after 'Barbie' and 'Oppenheimer', two giants of the moment.
Tom Cruise's last mission?
The latest installment in the saga could be Tom Cruise's farewell as Ethan Hunt. This is, at least, the rumor circulating and one that neither the actor nor the director of the film, Christopher McQuarrie, have dared to completely deny. In an interview with Empire magazine, they both agreed that this film will be an emotional and epic journey.
