Perhaps one of the most sgnificant roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's future was Reed Richards from the Fantastic Four comics. His character is instrumental and one of the most important in the entire world of comic books. Whoever portrays him will have a huge responsibility but also a massive honor. For years since producer Kevin Feige announced the MCU would do the Fantastic Four, there were many names thrown around of the actors who could be the next Mr. Fantastic in the comics. Even actor John Krasinski portrayed the character but a variant from a different universe in the 'Dr. Strange: Multiverse of Madness' movie. Many thought he had a chance to keep the role but Deadline just reported who the lucky actor is.

Pedro Pascal goes from Mandalorian to Mr. Fantastic

According to Deadline, Marvel Studios had been negotiating with multiple actors for the role but the real name they chose didn't come up until Wednesday. That name is none other than Pedro Pascal, arguably the most coveted actor in Hollywood atthe moment. The Mandalorian himself landed the role of a lifetime that will bring about a massive amount of pressure from day one. The announcement hasn't been made official yet but Deadline is already making it official. For producer Kevin Feige, landing Reed Richards was essential in order to continue working on the other of this emblematic team of super heroes.

Who will play the rest of the Fantastic Four?

With Mr. Fantastic in the bag, the other names should come over the next few days and going into the weekend. Sue and Johnny Storm are brother and sister, there are many names on the list of possible actors that will portray these siblings. No confirmation on who will play The Thing either yet. For now, we can already start feeling excited for the news that Pedro Pascal is part of the MCU but he probably will be less present as The Mandalorian. Although he doesn't have to be on set because he only needs to lend his voice, there were already rumors he would probably be less important to the overall story in the Star Wars universe moving forward. This new gig will probably move him away from it even further.
