Jeff Shell who has been the CEO of NBC Universal and helped them navigate the Covid-19 pandemic has been fired effective immediately after he confessed to having an "inappropriate relationship" with a woman who also worked for the company.

According to radar online, Comcast is a parent company of NBC Universal and all of Shell's duties will be absorbed by Comcast president Mike Cavanagh.
NBC Universal and Shell parted ways after a mutual agreement. The company launched an investigation with the help of outside counsel who deliberated there was "inappropriate conduct."
Shell wrote informed his staff and the rest of the company with a memo, "Today is my last day as CEO of NBC Universal."
Shell elaborated "I had an inappropriate relationship with a woman in the company, which I deeply regret," he continued. "I'm truly sorry I let my Comcast and NBC Universal colleagues down, they are the most talented people in the business and the opportunity to work with them the last 19 years has been a privilege."
Comcast Chairman/CEO Brian Roberts also sent a memo with his thoughts about the Jeff Shell situation "We are disappointed to share this news with you. We built this company on a culture of integrity. Nothing is more important than how we treat each other."
The identity of the woman in question has not been yet revealed
"You should count on your leaders to create a safe and respectful workplace. When our principles and policies are violated, we will always move quickly to take appropriate action, as we have done here."
The woman with whom Shell had the inappropriate relationship has not been identified and has been maintained under wraps, however, it is rumored that she was not within the entertainment branch of the company.
