The American Music Awards 2025, held on Monday, May 26 at the new Fontainebleau Las Vegas, were not just an awards ceremony, as they became the scene of a high-impact fashion show, courtesy ofJennifer Lopez.
As the host of the evening, the singer and actress not only set the pace for the event, but also transformed each appearance into a style statement. Her visual proposal combined glamour, technology and sensuality, in a series of looks in which she showed off her enviable figure with daring dresses.
The first of these made it clear that the night would be unconventional: a cat suit designed by Michael Ngo, with a cybernetic aesthetic and details inspired by circuit boards. An ideal outfit for the acrobatic movements and choreography with which she began the gala, she then took off a semi-transparent black coat that soon disappeared to make way for a robotic version of JLo, completely covered in crystals.
Jennifer Lopez's hints about her look at the 2025 AMAs
Lopez had already given her followers a hint of her plans for the 2025 AMAs during an interview with InStyle, where she hinted that she would go according to her personality and the show with which she intended to surprise.
"A little bit glam, a little bit cool, a little bit chic and elegant, and a little bit sexy too. Everything you associate with me and fashion," JLo told InStyle, adding: "It has to go with the number we're doing, but also be very functional because I have very athletically dance-oriented performances."
The Bronx Diva then wore a silver sequined dress with a front slit, which she complemented with a blue cape with floral embroidery, before leaving many in the audience open-mouthed with a gold metallic mesh outfit, again with slits, this time at the hip, before changing into another cobalt sequined look to introduce Janet Jackson's performance.
The metamorphosis continued with a silver dress with precise cuts and strategic sparkles. But it was a design by Bronx and Banco, which left her sculpted abdomen exposed, that stole the most attention and, according to Page Six, could be crowned as her boldest look of the night.
Among sequins, cutouts and futuristic silhouettes, Jennifer Lopez turned the AMAs into a dynamic and electrifying runway.
