- Celebrities. Glen Powell dodges Sydney Sweeney dating rumors as speculation continues: 'Timing is everything'
Following the official end of her engagement to longtime partner Jonathan Davino, Sydney Sweeney is leaning into her career, her friendships, and perhaps, something more with her Anyone But You co-star Glen Powell.
Sweeney's appearance at Powell's sister Leslie's wedding in Dallas last weekend instantly set the internet ablaze.
The timing couldn't have been more intriguing, as the sighting came just days after news broke that Sweeney and Davino had ended their engagement, with their once-planned May wedding officially off.
"She didn't feel right about it," a source told People, citing the pressures of the relationship and the looming wedding. "What did make her overwhelmed, though, was her relationship and her wedding."
Sweeney focuses on work
While those close to Powell insist that "nothing romantic is going on there," even the actor himself appeared to be playing along with the speculation.
When TODAY host Jenna Bush Hager jokingly asked Powell about the "stir" caused by Sweeney attending the family wedding, he responded with a laugh: "You know, timing is everything in this world."
Sweeney and Powell were also spotted dining at Joe Leo Fine Tex Mex in Dallas during the same weekend.
"He wouldn't blow up everything after the break up [with Davino]," a source close to Powell noted.
The actress appeared solo and radiant at CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas this week. It was her first public appearance since news of the breakup surfaced. Despite the attention, insiders say she's not letting personal matters slow her down.
"She's all about working right now and very excited about all her projects," one insider told People.
Sweeney is reprising her role as Cassie in Euphoria Season 3, starring in and producing a Netflix thriller The Housemaid, and taking on roles portraying real-life boxer Christy Marin and Hollywood icon Kim Novak. That's in addition to juggling several producing credits on her own slate of films.
