Michael Lohan, the father of actress Lindsay Lohan, has once again found himself in legal trouble.
The 64-year-old was arrested in Palm Beach County, Florida, on Sunday for violating probation, just weeks after being accused of assaulting his estranged wife, Kate Major, in Texas.
Michael Lohan's troubled past resurfaces
According to jail records, Lohan was booked at 5:18 p.m. after deputies from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office took him into custody.
He remains in jail as of Monday morning and is expected to appear in bond court soon.
Details about the probation violation have not been fully disclosed, but the arrest is reportedly tied to his February 22 felony assault charge in Texas.
Lohan's legal troubles have been ongoing.
His Texas arrest stemmed from allegations that he physically assaulted Major by flipping her out of a chair at their home.
Following the incident, Major reportedly sought medical attention and informed authorities of her injuries.
When deputies observed bruises on her, they arrested Lohan without resistance.
He was charged with "continuous violence against the family."
This latest arrest in Florida is connected to Lohan's 2022 conviction for patient brokering, where he was found guilty of receiving kickbacks from a drug treatment facility in Delray Beach.
Court documents revealed that he or his business had accepted over $27,000 for patient referrals.
The case led to his probation, which was reportedly violated after his recent assault charge in Texas.
Despite the allegations, Lohan has denied any wrongdoing.
He has previously spoken out against accusations of domestic violence, claiming he has video evidence to his innocence.
He has also alleged that Major has a history of fabricating claims against him.
Lohan has had multiple run-ins with the law over the years, including past arrests related to domestic disputes and his involvement in illegal patient referrals.
As his legal troubles continue to mount, he remains in custody awaiting his next court appearance.
