While celebrities may live a life full of glamor and fame, that doesn't mean they don't deal with health issues like the rest of us.

Just look at Brad Pitt, one of the most famous actors on the planet thanks to his work in movies like Fight Club and Troy. Pitt suffers from prosopagnosia, a rare neurological disorder that makes it hard to recognize faces.

He has said that he has never been officially diagnosed, but acknowledged that it has affected him on more than one occasion.

"A lot of people hate me because they think I'm disrespecting them. They think I'm cocky, and it gets worse when I ask them to contextualize the moment we met, that offends them even more," said Pitt when talking to GQ magazine in 2022.

Like Pitt, there are plenty of other celebrities who have to deal with disorders, illnesses and diseases. Here's a look at some of them.

Selena Gomez

Gomez was diagnosed with lupus back in October 2015, which resulted in her taking a step back from here career in 2017 in order to have a kidney transplant due to the disease.

Lupus is an autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks healthy tissue. Along with Gomez, other celebrities like Toni Braxton and Seal are affected by it as well.

Lady Gaga

The famous singer has spoken about her battle with fibromyalgia, a chronic pain disorder characterized by musculoskeletal pain, fatigue and sleep disturbances, on more than one occasion.

Fans got a closer look at the issue in the documentary Five Foot Two, as they saw just how much the disease affected Gaga's life.

Jada Pinkett Smith

Diagnosed with alopecia, which causes hair loss, Jada Pinkett Smith has talked about the issue with fans ever since sharing her diagnosis on an episode of Red Table Talk in 2018.

In her 2023 memoir, Worthy, Smith shared her experiences with fans and the stigma surrounding the condition.

"A lot of people who suffer from alopecia have shame about their condition," Pinkett Smith told SheKnows in October 2023. "And one of the things about this book that I'm hoping, you know, people will embrace and receive is that there's no need to have shame about any of it."

Celine Dion

The famous Canadian singer has been open about her battle with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS), a rare neurological disease that affects 1 or 2 out of every 1 million people.

Dion shared her diagnosis in an emotional social media post in 2022, telling fans that the diagnosis impacts every aspect of her life. She even had difficulty walking and using her vocal cords properly.

"The fact that I found the strength to communicate my condition with the world makes me very proud," Dion told People. "Maybe my purpose in this life is to help others, and that is the greatest gift."

Venus Williams

A star on the tennis court during her illustrious career, Venus Williams had to withdraw from the US Open back in 2011 after she was diagnosed with Sjogren's syndrome, an autoimmune disease that causes fatigue and t pain.

Charlie Sheen

Back in 2015, Sheen revealed on the Today show that he was HIV positive after being diagnosed with it in 2011, though he is unsure how he contracted it.

Michael J. Fox

The famous actor has been living with Parkinson's since he was diagnosed back in 1991. Despite the diagnosis, Fox has been able to keep his career going all while raising awareness and talking about his battle.
