Golf influencer Paige Spiranac has expressed interest in becoming the NBC Sports analyst following the departure of lead analyst Paul Azinger, whose five-year contract came to an end.

Azinger, the 1993 PGA Championship winner, concluded his time with NBC after the Ryder Cup in October, and he anticipated working the Hero World Challenge next month.

"With the golf and media landscapes now in a more challenging environment, Azinger and NBC will part ways as their current contract ends," a statement released by Azinger's manager read.

Spiranac, a prominent figure in golf, is vying for the analyst position on X. Azinger, who started his television career in 2005 on ABC and later ed Fox Sports and NBC, won 12 PGA Tour tournaments and two European Tour events, with one Grand Slam victory.

"Fine, I'll step in," she wrote.
