Real Madrid won one of the most unpredictable and even Clasicos against Barcelona in recent history, beating the Blaugrana 3-1 at the Camp Nou on Saturday afternoon.

If something is clear to the voters of the MARCA poll, however, it is that the result was fair, Real Madrid were superior and they maybe deserved to score more, with a very small minority

Believing that Barcelona deserved the three points.

Meanwhile, the public opinion is divided with regard to whether it was Zinedine Zidane's tactics which led Real Madrid to the victory or whether it was the penalty decision that played a major role.

Some of the readers also believe that Barcelona's lack of cutting edge and Thibaut Courtois' saves played a key role in Real Madrid's triumph at the Camp Nou.

Real Madrid's top performers

Thibaut Courtois, Fede Valverde and Sergio Ramos have been voted by MARCA's readers as the players who stole the limelight with their performances in the game.

The former was solid in goal, producing some spectacular saves, while the Uruguay international netted Real Madrid's first goal and Ramos their second.

Which Real Madrid thrived?

With the victory at the Camp Nou, Zidane has managed to win back the confidence of the fans and the club, following back-to-back defeats against Cadiz and Shakhtar Donetsk.

Lucas Vazquez, who has been criticised a lot in the last two seasons, also helped after coming off the bench to replace Nacho Fernandez who limped off the pitch injured.

Valverde, whose start to the season has not been ideal, was also applauded by the fans who also voted for Courtois as one of the players who stood out.

Meanwhile, Toni Kroos is in fifth place, although the German midfielder seems to have the fans' full confidence.

Barcelona's top performers

Ansu Fati became the youngster scorer in the Clasico in the 21st century and, according to MARCA's readers, was the best Barcelona player on the pitch.

Second comes Neto, who produced some excellent saves throughout the game, with new g Sergino Dest also making a good impression in the Blaugrana's 3-1 defeat.

And their worst...

Readers believe that Ronald Koeman's coaching was not adequate, with Lionel Messi coming second in the poll, followed by Sergio Busquets and Clement Lenglet.

Was it a penalty?

The referee's decision to award Real Madrid a penalty after reviewing Lenglet's pull on Ramos' shirt in the second half has sparked controversy, with Koeman lamenting the officials too.

However, the majority of the readers (57 percent) believe that the decision was right, with the other 43 percent doubting whether it was a clear penalty on Ramos.
