Both of Atletico Madrid's positive coronavirus cases are players

Atletico Madrid are now having to walk their way through a minefield after two people tested positive for coronavirus at the club, both of whom are believed to be players.

Atletico's travelling group to Lisbon for the final phase of the Champions League underwent PCR tests before training on Saturday, with the results only becoming known on Sunday afternoon.

So, despite the fact that as soon as the positive results were known the pair were put into quarantine, there is a fear that they may have infected some more of the 93-person group who were due to leave for Portugal on Monday.

Everyone will be tested again on Monday, which may mean that the trip will have to be postponed.

However, everything is up in the air as the club must now wait to see the results of further tests.
