Oblak conquers the world

Even Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Antoine Griezmann crumbled in front of Jan Oblak in Jeddah this week as the Atletico Madrid goalkeeper continued to shine with yet another incredible performance.

With each stop against Barcelona the Saudi ers warmed to him even more, but it was nothing new for the Slovenian.

Before Barcelona it was Levante who couldn't get the better of him, and even Cristiano Ronaldo has suffered against him in the past.

Karim Benzema, who will miss the Supercopa de Espana final, saw earlier this year just how hard the goalkeeper can be to beat when he had a header denied by a phenomenal stop.

Oblak is discreet, humble and has a quiet profile off the pitch, so much so that he wasn't among the three Atleti players chosen to promote the Supercopa, with Saul Niguez, Alvaro Morata and Koke selected.

His off-field persona aside it's hard to argue against him being the very best goalkeeper on the planet.
