Joe Rogan is clear on the outcome of Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson: 'He's going to kill you!'

Joe Rogan reflected on the inevitability of Mike Tyson's rise to boxing fame by declaring there isn't anything anyone could have done to stop him in his early 20s as he became the youngest heavyweight champion ever.

Tyson claimed his first belt at the age of 20 in 1986 when he knocked out Trevor Berbick in the second round, in what was already the 28th straight win of his career, and by the time he was 21, he had become undisputed.

His ascendency was unprecedent and something boxing fans marvelled before his career slipped off the railings following his defeat to Buster Douglas in 1990 and Rogan said that sometimes these stars break through and nothing can be done about it.

"You're occasionally going to get a Michael Jordan," Rogan said on episode 2229 of his show. "A guy who works harder than everybody, and he's gifted, and he's going to exceed. Nothing you can do about Mike Tyson when he was 22 years old.

"Get the f**k out of the way; pick up tennis. He's going to k*ll you. You can't make it fair with laws, and you can't make it fair with rules."

After losing his titles to Douglas, he would never become undisputed again and it would take some six years before he managed to get his hands back on the belt after being sentenced to prison in 1992 for rape.

Upon his release, he did manage to go on to claim the WBC and WBA belts but held them for just a matter of months until Evander Holyfield took it from him in 1996 by knocking the New Yorker out in the 11th round.

When is Tyson vs Jake Paul?

Tyson went on to retire in 2005 after losing three of his last four fights, including an undisputed contest with Lennox Lewis, but now he is back in the professional game as he takes on Jake Paul on Friday, November 15.

The pair will meet in the ring at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, home of the Dallas Cowboys, in a fight that will be streamed by Netflix.
