Dana White reacts to Anthony Joshua's loss: You get two big heavyweights in there...

Dana White revealed he wasn't shocked that Daniel Dubois knocked out Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium by pointing out the size of the men means "anything can happen", as well as praising Frank Warren for lifting 'exclusivity' of him.

Dynamite Dubois dropped AJ multiple times on Saturday, September 21 as he officially claimed the IBF heavyweight title, which was vacated by Oleksander Usyk after he failed to fulfil his mandatory obligation.

And the 27-year-old's triumph was considered an upset and a major shift on the heavyweight scene but the UFC CEO itted he was far from shocked it happened.

"You get two big heavyweights in there, f**king anything can happen, man," White told reporters at a press conference. "I mean, I'm not invested either way, whatsoever in it. "

The 55-year-old was talking ahead of the latest round of his Dana White Contender Series, and offered some praise to Dubois promoter Warren after allowing the MMA magnate to attend the spectacle.

"I can say this: The Warrens lifted their exclusivity for me to put that fight on Friday night," White added. "Good things happen to good people. I guess, I'll say that."

Who might Dubois fight next?

Dubois dropped the 35-year-old Joshua, previously considered the face of British boxing, four times in front of almost 100,000 people at Wembley Stadium in the heart of London on Saturday.

And now an official champion, there's a lot of chatter concerning who the 6ft 4in fighter could clash with next, with Tyson Fury, Joseph Parker and even a rematch with Usyk being popular nominations.

But one opponent who wasted no time in calling him out is China's Zhilei Zhang, who is looking for his second successive win after knocking out Deontay Wilder in June 2024, off the back of a defeat to New Zealand's Parker.

"Congrats, Daniel. Good win, I am happy for you but if...," Zhang told Dubois in a video, before pointing to himself to signal his challenge.

The 38-year-old stands at 6ft 8in tall and is a monster of a man, known for his power and sheer durability to walk through punishment whilst appearing completely unfazed by his rivals.

The 2008 Olympic Games silver medalist has fought 30 times and has 27 wins, with 22 via stoppage, as well as one draw and two defeats.

Both his defeats came via decision by Parker and Filip Hrgovic in a testament to his resilience, with the loss to the Croatian in 2022 being criticized as an unfair call on the East Asian boxer in their IBF eliminator. The crowd even booed the unanimous decision of 115-112 and 114-113.
