When both Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder held all the heavyweight belts between them, this fight definitely had way more hype than it does today. Regardless, the Saudi Arabia promoters are well aware of how much hype this fight still has. In the December 23 event in Riyadh, people are already thrilled for the fight Joshua will have against Otto Wallin and Deontay Wilder vs Joseph Parker. According to ESPN, the result from those fights will be crucial for a deal that is reportedly already in place. It all points at a fight between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder already in the works. But before that fight takes place, both of these stars need to win on December 23.
When will Joshua vs Wilder happen?
According to ESPN's Mike Coppinger, both Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder have alrady agreed to fight on March 9. The event will take place in Saudi Arabia, prsumably Riyadh as well. Both former heavyweight champs need to win their fights on December 23 before this one is a done deal. AJ fights Otto Wallin while Wilder is set to confront Joseph Parker. Wallin already almost cancelled fighting Wilder in the past after he fought Fury in 2019. Should these two win their proposed fights in a few days, the idea is to go ahead with one of the biggest fights in early 2024.
Now that the cat's out of the bag, haters won't be able ot go after AJ anymore as they sowre he was ducking Wilder for the longest time. In the end, these two are amongst the hardest punchers in the business. Sparks will definitely fly once they collide inside the ring. Hopefully, none of them finds any trouble while fighting their next opponents and we can finally get the fight people wanted. Although none of them are champions anymore, it's safe to say the entertainment is secured.
