- Boxing. John Fury demands huge pay day from KSI to settle debt: "Be a man..."
- Boxing. Ebanie Bridges "knocks out" the Internet while promoting her next fight
Saturday's Misfits Boxing event was a rousing success. It was filled with arguably the best crossover boxing card ever and featured two fights fit for a Main Event moniker.
The co-main brought us an easy win for Logan Paul over Dillon Danis, who ended up starting a brawl as the fight came to a close. That was followed by a controversial unanimous decision victory by Tommy Fury against KSI. Many thought KSI did enough to win.
Eddie Hearn says KSI beat Tommy Fury
One notable boxing industry expert also thought KSI should have been named the winner. Matchroom Boxing chairman Eddie Hearn, who was present at the event, believes KSI "edged it" over Fury.
Hearn also called it "probably the worst fight I've ever seen". He did concede that the event as a whole was a spectacle. But in of the in-ring action between KSI and Fury, he clearly was not a fan.
Hearn also took some shots at Fury's ability as a boxer while appearing on The Overlap's "Stick to Football" show.
Yes, he's a professional boxer, but he's terrible. He's absolutely swam the channel. He's gone from making, I don't know, £50,000 a fight to making £4m/£5m to fight a YouTuber. The ones who understand the bigger picture and the marketing side of sport get it. But, a lot of them are very unhappy about it. They feel like it's very unfair.
Fury doesn't seem interested in getting back to real, professional boxing. He recently mentioned Conor McGregor as his next potential opponent. Given how much money he's making from these "celebrity" fights, who can blame him?
