Caitlin Clark's first season in the WNBA was incredible with the Indiana Fever, as she took the league by storm similar to what she did in Iowa with the Hawkeyes as she became a reference in collegiate sports by breaking every record possible.

Just incredible enough was her reaction to her first ever invitation to Team USA, as it was a pivotal moment in her budding basketball career. Initially, she couldn't fully grasp the magnitude of the opportunity, but as reality set in, her excitement and determination soared.

Clark recalled the experience as "crazy," noting how initially she wasn't aware of what it entailed, but upon trying out and making the team, the significance hit home. This milestone was a testament to her hard work and talent, and on a video circulating on social media, everyone can see it as well.

The interview that changed everything

Caitlin Clark's journey with Team USA not only enhanced her skills but also underscored her potential as a future star in women's basketball. She explained on a December 28, 2017 interview after playing for Dowling Catholic High School.

"It was crazy. I mean, at first, I didn't really know what it was ... I went out and tried out and made the team and it's just it was unbelievable. It's an amazing experience," Clark said.

The standout basketball player became the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer and many believe that she can accomplish the same thing in the WNBA once she establishes herself at the professional level.
